INTRODUCTION TO THE HISTORY OF THE FINE ARTS, PART 2

Beginnings of Modernity, 1900-1940
Second series of ten classes given by art historian Micheline Senécal on the history of the fine arts in Quebec and Canada. No prior knowledge of art is required. TRAVELLING LECTURE SERIES

An Hour, an Artwork
A series of three hour-long lectures that will be given across the Lanaudière region to inform the public about the Musée d’art de Joliette and its collections. Each lecture will focus on a particular work of art from the Musée’s collection.The series is offered free of charge to the region’s primary and secondary schools, libraries, senior citizens’ centres and social and educational associations.The lectures are offered in both French and English.This project has benefited by funding from the Conférence régionale des élus(es) de Lanaudière. March 6 and 7, from 9 am to 12 pm, for young creators aged 9 to 12
March 5, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, for children aged 9 to 12 accompanied by one or two adults
March 7, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, for children aged 9 to 12 accompanied by one or two adults
